About Us

Lone Star Liners, LLC

Lone Star Liners was started in April 2014 to guide roofing and geomembrane manufacturers in developing new products and markets for EPDM and polypropylene membranes. It’s owner, Bill Tippins, has been involved in the manufacture of polymers and their resultant film and sheet goods nearly his entire career. For the past twenty years he has worked closely with design engineers to help them choose the most appropriate geomembrane products for their applications.

Each geomembrane on the market today has a specific set of features and benefits that differentiates itself from other materials. No one specific geomembrane works in all applications. With that in mind, it is critical for the design engineer to make their best, informed decision to ensure the geomembrane they choose will perform to the customers’ expectations.

Lone Star Liners has positioned itself as an industry expert on EPDM and polypropylene geomembranes. These vastly different materials – one a synthetic rubber and the other a thermoplastic – are used in a myriad of applications including retention ponds, mine tailings facilities, long-term temporary landfill covers, canals, reservoirs, decorative ponds, floating covers and more. Both of these materials have been around for many, many years. In the case of EPDM, over 50 years of tested and proven use in both roofing and geomembrane applications.

We strive each day to give the best advice, supported with technical data, to our design engineering and end-user customers.
